Cemal Koya visiting the Velbert IUEWT Club

Cemal Koya und Sifu Marcus Schüssler

From the newsletter of the Wing Tsun & Escrima School Velbert spring - summer issue 2006:

"The principles of WT and the way how the young Niels Pivato from Wülfrath is transferring them to his students brought him international recognition lately. A friend had a visitor from Turkey whom he told about the WT-Club in Wülfrath. This made Cemal Koya curious.

The 39-year old is parctising for now 30 years Kung Fu and is the instructor to police and security forces in the capital of Istanbul.

Several times he passively attended the lessons during his visit in Wülfrath. Just sat there , watched and studied Wing Tsun and ist message. At the end he was so excited that he passed a very extraordinary present from Turkey to Niels. An offical certificate from the Federal Ministry for Youth and Sports or the Turkish Republic for the 1.Dan in Wushu/KungFu. Normally people train up to 10 to 15 years for such an award.

Niels Pivato is one of the very few in the world who have earned such an award in such a short time. The style and first of all the teaching of the realistic self defence have excited the turkish visitor and convinced him. An act of understanding amoung nations for fighters.

[Remark of the Velbert WT-Club: the above displayed certificate is no fake or the certificate of some self-awarded master who can pass any certificate he wants within his organization. Instructor collegue Savas Punar from the Velbert WT-Club translated in front of witnesses in the Velbert WT-Club the words and meanings of the certificate and stressed the importance of the Federal status of the Minisatry for Youth and Sports in Turkey.]"

In may 2006 the visit from Cemal repeated itself butr this time only in the Velbert WT-Club. Sifu Marcus Schüssler welcomed Cemal Koya wholeheartedly and invited him straight to a practical introduction into the WT system which he gladly accepted in order to put the then understood message into practice. Also to pass the language barrier instructor Savas Punar translated everything. Cemal, who looks for himself upon decades of martial arts background managed very quickly and precisely the new physical impressions he got. Folloing to the introduction he was demonstrated the students programs so to round up the whole picture. Coincidently Sven Collas, mostly known by his activities as trainer and fighter for the Velbert Judo-Club (currently coaches Lisa Müller - new hope for the European title), was also present so that also he could win an impression for himself. In all it was a successful evening for the Velbert WT-Club that always attracts and welcomes experts from all other martial arts
